Jim Minard

Jim Minard and John Stevens, along with Randy Spiers earlier, joined the WOWI staff after a stint on the air at WGOE in Richmond, VA. Jim was instrumental in putting together the "Bastille Day Concert". This was a free concert at Scope on Bastille Day that was produced by Webb Concerts in conjunction with the City of Norfolk's Downtown Association and broadcast live on WOWI. The bands included Elvin Bishop, Elephants Memory Band (without Yoko Ono—they were her backing band at the time), Red White and Bluegrass, Orphan and Duke Williams and the Extremes. At least one staffer said that Minard still owed him some moola...
